Following its successful roll-out in Singapore and Bangkok, the popular chicken and beer chain will launch its first Philippines outlet in Arcovia City, Pasig, this October

Daily Beer, one of South Korea’s leading fried chicken-and-beer, or ‘chimaek’ chains, will open its inaugural Philippine outlet in Arcovia City, Pasig, Metro Manila, this October. Kirkland Whang, chairman of Daily Beer Philippines, stated that the outlet will introduce Manila to the brand’s range of Korean craft brews and popular comfort-food favourites.

Daily Beer currently collaborates with a wide range of Korean microbreweries to deliver a rotating and diverse craft beer selection, often exclusive to the chain.

The new Arcovia City branch will serve as the brand’s flagship restaurant in the country under the stewardship of master franchisor Opulence Prime Ventures Inc. Plans are already underway for further branches in other Metro Manila locations including SM Fairview and Paseo Parkview Suites in Quezon City and Makati, respectively, with the ambition for ten further outlets to become operational over the next two years.

Founded in 2014, Daily Beer has grown into one of South Korea’s largest chicken-and-beer restaurant chains, boasting over 370 outlets and earning repeated recognition with awards such as the Korea Franchise Business Award for five consecutive years, and Brand of the Year from the Korea Customers Council.

In recent years, it has expanded internationally, with its first overseas venture in Singapore, where it serves its distinctive craft beers and popular double-fried chicken in partnership with Singapore’s Katrina Group.

The Arcovia City outlet aims to replicate the Singapore success by pairing Daily Beer’s signature Korean craft beers with Korean comfort-food classics such as tteokbokki, kimchi stew, and its flagship, double-fried “Angry Bird” chicken.

The expansion will be in line with Daily Beer’s ‘glocal’ strategy of maintaining a unified brand experience while incorporating local preferences. Following its launches in Singapore and Bangkok, Manila represents another strategic milestone in its Southeast Asian rollout.

The entry of Daily Beer into international markets reflects the brand’s belief that the growing appeal of Korean culture such as K-drama and K-pop will also extend to food and beverage in Southeast Asia’s developing consumer landscape.
