South Korea’s largest craft beer and fried chicken chain opens its first overseas outlet in Singapore
Daily Beer, South Korea’s largest craft beer and fried chicken chain, has opened its first international outlet in Singapore earlier this month. The store, which seats 87 patrons, is located opposite Amoy Street Food Centre in the vibrant Telok Ayer district in Singapore. The brand’s name ‘Daily Beer’ is a loose translation of its Korean name ‘생활맥주’, which means ‘life beer’.
The Telok Ayer store offers seven Singapore-exclusive craft beers, including Kampong Pilsner, K-Festbier, Telok Hazy IP, Telok Pale Ale, K-Ginseng Lager, Real K-Somaek, and Beer Flight, according to reports. As well as beer, the outlet also offers Korean-style fried chicken such as its signature Original Angry Bird line which comes as Wings, Boneless and 8 Whole Pieces.
Until the end of April, Daily Beer is running a launch promotion in which it is giving away a beer sampler to the first 50 customers daily that purchase food at a token price of SGD1 (USD0.73).
The expansion into international markets coincides with the firm’s 10th anniversary this year. Since opening in 2014, Daily Beer has collaborated with over 50 local, small-batch Korean breweries to create unique, specialty craft beers and now has more than 370 outlets in South Korea.
In December 2023, Daily Beer received the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Award for its contribution to the development of the franchise sector and the domestic craft beer industry.
