Bengaluru-based BLR Brewing Co opens huge new brewpub in the city
India’s Bengaluru-based BLR Brewing Co, which operates up-market brewpubs around Bengaluru that provide high-end hospitality, has unveiled its fourth and most expansive location to date. The new brewpub is located in Whitefield, a district on the outskirts of Bengaluru city that is home to a number of technology parks and luxury apartment developments.
The brewpub covers a massive 65,000 square feet of space that has the capacity to host about 1,200 guests. The property’s centerpiece is a 45-foot indoor waterfall which is the largest in India, according to the brewery. There is also a koi pond and stone bridge with pathways that connects different parts of the property.
The new venue is in line with BLR Brewing’s philosophy of utilising top-of-the range design that infuses nature, tradition and heritage into the ambiance in which patrons can enjoy their craft beers. “With our latest outpost in Whitefield, our focus is to cater to Bengaluru’s diverse mix of people from various backgrounds while retaining the look and feel of old Bangalore,” said BLR Brewing Company’s co-founder Prassana Kumar.
In addition to its craft beers, the Whitefield establishment also offers unique cocktails named after Indian locales such as Lakhimpur Kheri, Kollam, Cuddalore, Chikamangalur, Ooty, Chopta, and Mysore. Its dining menu is designed to complement the brewpub’s beverage selection and features both traditional Indian dishes and global cuisine. It also offers unique coffee blends through Beanlore Coffee Roasters.
