Kunal Joshi will oversee operations, expansion and growth for the Bengaluru-based brewer and taproom.
Indian Craft Brewery (ICB) has appointed Kunal Joshi as its new business head, tasked with leading the company’s operations and expansion strategy. Joshi, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the hospitality and food and beverage sectors, will oversee the full operations of ICB’s flagship two-acre brewery and taproom in Manyata Tech Park, Bengaluru, which has seating for about 1,500 people. He will also be responsible for driving the brand’s taproom expansion plans and its broader multi-vertical growth initiatives.
Joshi’s previous roles include senior positions at Hard Rock Café India, V&RO Hospitality, Sidecar India, and Krispy Kreme. At Hard Rock Café India, he played a key role in the brand’s post-pandemic recovery and was involved in launching five new outlets. His experience spans high-volume outlet launches, managing cross-functional teams and overseeing revenue growth in multiple markets.
Commenting on his appointment, Joshi said craft beer represented “a celebration of storytelling, community, and passion,” and that he looked forward to working with the ICB team in the next stage of the company’s development. ICB founder Gopichand Cherukuri said Joshi’s operational expertise and experience in scaling hospitality brands would support the company’s long-term expansion plans.
Founded in Bengaluru, Indian Craft Brewery operates one of India’s largest craft brewing facilities. Its beer range includes products such as Nandi Nectar, brewed with wild honey from Tamil Nadu; Ramanujan, made with Chikmagalur coffee; and Gose Garu, a sour beer with mango and green chilli.
The brewery’s production is supported by an international brewing team and an R&D partnership with a Belgian firm. ICB has also introduced sustainability initiatives, including reusing spent grain in snack production.
