MixTape Drinks, a small but growing beverage company based in Saigon, Vietnam, continues to make moves to bring a bit of fun to the craft beer scene in SE Asia.
Not content to rest on the success of their flagship core beers Peaches & Cream NEIPA, Molly Irish Stout, and California Sun Pale Ale the MixTape collective has recently released a new refreshing hard seltzer.
ParTea, as they have named it, is a light 4.2% seltzer infused with lotus green tea with a twist of fresh lemon juice.
This release comes on the back of MixTape’s success at the 2022 Asia Beer Championship where their Peaches & Cream and Molly were both presented with Chairman’s Selection awards.
According to Chad Mitchell, the founder of MixTape Drinks “We intentionally started as a beverage company which allows us the freedom to explore all things drinks related. Since I was a kid I’ve
collected and tasted all the strange drinks I could find and now with ParTea we have found a flavor that appeals to not only the craft beer drinker but a broader range of fun loving people.”
In addition to releasing new beverages, the crew of Chad Mitchell, Shawn Kidd, and James Waters continue to push forward to share their unique spin on the drinking culture to a growing audience.
To that end they have recently entered into an arrangement with the popular L’Usine chain of cafes to open a temporary taproom “residence” at their Thao Dien location in Saigon.
Shawn, who recently moved to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) will be leading the pop-up team to introduce several new exclusive beers as well as a range of other local craft beverages available in the marketplace.
“This is a perfect opportunity to showcase our love of craft, music, and quality of service” Shawn told the Asia Brewers Network “We are very excited to be partnering with L’Usine for this marketing event and look forward to welcoming the entire community for a drink soon!”
ParTea is available throughout Saigon and Hanoi, and the MixTape Residency at L’Usine Thao Dien began on Nov 4th and will run for 2 months.
