Hong Kong’s Yardley Brothers re-releases Mango Sticky Mango Imperial Gose on 2 March 2024

Hong Kong’s Yardley Brothers Craft Brewery has announced the limited re-release of its Thai Dessert-inspired beer, Mango Sticky Mango Imperial Gose, on 2 March 2024 after a year-long hiatus.

The limited edition brew, which was first launched in October 2020, has consistently sold out during its previous three releases, with the most recent being in 2022. The limited-edition beer, inspired by the traditional Thai dessert, mango sticky rice, is known for its unique blend of sweet and slightly salty flavours, with rich mango and coconut notes.

It is brewed with malted barley, filtered water, fresh Australian mangoes, coconut, sugarcane, oats, yeast, Himalayan pink salt, and kettle-soured with lactobacillus.

Yardley Brothers, one of Hong Kong’s oldest creative craft breweries, said it has pushed up the strength of the beer to 12% this year, from the previous 9%.

“I’ve been really happy about the growing popularity of sour beers over recent years and happy to see the development in so-called smoothie sours with the post-fermentation addition of fruit purees,” said Luke Yardley, one of the brewery founders, in a statement.

Mango Sticky Mango will be available on draft and in cans; and is launching at Yardleys Taproom on 2 March. It will be available on draft from 3 March at The Beer Shack on Lamma Island, as well as available to order from the Yardley Brothers webshop.
