As the Asian craft beer market continues to mature and competition grows, the focus for brewers is shifting towards building stronger, more resilient, and highly efficient businesses.
Addressing this critical need, the Brew Asia regional brewers conference will return to Bangkok from October 16-17, 2025, with the theme “Optimize, Innovate & Grow.” The programme is laser-focused on providing the blueprint for brewery efficiency and innovation, from production and packaging to sales and branding.
This year’s conference and trade fair has been curated to equip brewing professionals with the strategic tools required to optimize every area of their operations. In an industry where passion must be paired with profitability, Brew Asia 2025 will provide a 2-day masterclass in streamlining processes, reducing costs, and maximizing output.
World-Class Brewing Expertise
Laying the foundation for this theme is the legendary author of “How To Brew” and “Water” and brewing scientist, John Palmer. He’ll be sharing his own experiences as well as those gathered from colleagues in the US’s brewing industry on the essential role of efficiency in brewhouse and back-office as a foundation for a successful business. He’ll also be sharing his deep technical knowledge in a second session, “Adjusting Water For Style,” where he’ll be providing the critical knowledge every brewer needs for their process control and consistency.
The conference programme continues this deep dive into efficiency with Lindsey Male of Aber Instruments presenting on “Yeast Management in the Digital Age,” demonstrating how modern technology can improve consistency in fermentation.
A conference highlight will be the collaboration between Brew Asia and the World Brewing Academy which will see Doemens Academy educator Michael Eder present 3 deep-dive sessions over the 2 days. With the growing focus on lagers and cost saving in breweries across the region his presentations on lager beer production and brewing with rice and adjuncts will be invaluable as will his packaging presentation for those looking to maintain quality, reduce loss and expand distribution.

With a clear eye on the future, the conference will delve into the critical role of data and artificial intelligence in the brewing business. Pulkit K Agrawal of Beer30 will lead a hands-on workshop on visualizing production data to reduce costs and streamline operations, while Spencer Jemelka of Redpoint Brewing Co. will share how his team uses AI Agents to save time and resources. Both sessions will provide attendees with valuable tools to implement in their daily operations.
Workshops, Business & Branding
Alongside presentations in the Barth Haas Presentation Hall, workshops will run throughout the conference in the dedicated Joe White Maltings Workshop Hall. These will include a sensory exploration of hops from global hop supplier Barth Haas, the ever-popular Siebel Institute/Lallemand Brewing Sensory Workshop, and a new lager yeast strain launch from Fermentis.
Away from the brewery floor Brew Asia 2025 will continue to place a strong emphasis on business efficiency and innovation. Chris Roberts of LevelHeads Advisory will explore domestic and international sales strategies while Mathijs Aliejet from brand agency Square44 will be challenging conventional wisdom in his two-part series on how to build impactful brands that connect with consumers.
These sessions will be complemented by insights from experienced brewers and strategic panel discussions, including ones focused on innovation from Winnie Hsu (Taihu Brewing) and Shiro Yamada (Far Yeast Brewing Co.) and adapting to change.
Do you know your Junmai from your honjonzo? This year’s ‘Beyond the Brewhouse’ masterclass will explore the world of sake with master brewer Josh Hembree of Setting Sun Sake Brewing Co., including an instructed tasting and a look into its unique fermentation methods.
Trade Fair & Networking
In the main hall you will find the bustling Trade Fair, serving as a central hub for discovering efficiency-boosting solutions and the latest brewing technology and ingredients innovations. Attendees can connect with a wide range of suppliers offering everything from high-yield ingredients and water-saving technologies to advanced automation and quality control systems.

This year will also feature the return of the Innovation Zone, showcasing cutting-edge products specifically designed to improve brewery output and reduce operational costs including brewery management software, keg cleaning monitoring equipment and a hop extracts demonstration.
Of course, efficiency is also about connection. Brew Asia provides an unmatched platform for networking, allowing professionals to share solutions and build partnerships that can solve problems faster and more effectively. The much-anticipated evening Social Calendar (to be released soon) will offer further opportunities to connect with peers and industry leaders in the evenings in a relaxed setting, fostering a community dedicated to growth and success.
