ABN Talks Host Oliver Woods speaks with Andrew Strugnell & Tyler Bareither, co-founders of Riel Brewing & Distilling in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Once named by Lonely Planet Cambodia as makers of the “tastiest beers in town”, Andrew & Tyler have bootstrapped their brewery with a DIY ethos and commitment to brewing great quality beers.

Andy & Tyler will share the inspiring story of building their brewery from the ground-up with limited resources. We will also discuss their growth and success in recent years with both consumer and industry recognition locally and abroad.

More broadly, we will also explore Cambodia’s dynamic beer market – one of the region’s healthiest pre-COVID – that looks set to take-off further with the country’s successful vaccination program.

Riel Brewing & Distilling was founded in 2015 by a group of Australian and American friends home brewing in Phnom Penh. From home brewing in their lounge to recently launching a beautiful brewpub and garden bar, they have become one of the best recognised craft breweries in Cambodia (including recognition of two of their IPAs at the 2020 Asia Beer Championships).
