Platinum, Vietnam’s first craft brewery, recently celebrated its 11th anniversary, highlighting its pioneering role in the country’s evolving beer industry.
Since its founding, Platinum has proudly led the growth of Vietnam’s craft beer culture. The brand faced early doubts in the market and took a different path from industrial beer makers.
Established in 2014 when Vietnam’s beer market was largely dominated by commercial brewing concerns both local and foreign, Platinum distinguished itself by prioritising high-quality ingredients and adapting globally popular craft beer styles.
Its strategy catered to an emerging segment of Vietnamese consumers interested in premium and diverse beer experiences, which has significantly contributed to the growth and sophistication of the local beer market.
“This journey has always been about more than beer,” Michael Comerton, founder of Platinum, shared.
“It’s about introducing Vietnam to new flavours, new stories, and creating spaces where people connect over something made with care. We’re proud to see craft beer becoming part of everyday life, especially among young people shaping modern Vietnamese culture.”
Looking ahead, Platinum aims to strengthen its position on a regional scale, while remaining a proud symbol of ‘Vietnam’s Original’ spirit.
The company also aims to grow as a key production partner for specialty beverages targeting regional and international markets, combining traditional brewing techniques with ongoing innovation to meet global standards.
