A large new venue featuring craft beer opens in the city’s tech hub

The BAH, an taproom and restaurant, has been opened by Catch44 Hospitality LLP in Bangalore with a space uniting craft beer and elevated cuisine in the popular Whitefield district.

The taproom has developoed a beverage programme in partnership with craft brewers Toit and Geist offers a selection of ales, hefeweizens, lagers, pilsners, and stouts.

Spanning 2,000 square feet in the city’s tech corridor, it features an outdoor terrace overlooking the Kadugodi forest preserve and has a food program that combines regional Indian influences with European and Mediterranean techniques.

In a departure from digital-centric trends (particularly the ubiquitous QR codes present in many of Bangalore’s bars and brewpubs), the operation adopts traditional handheld menus and straightforward check-in procedures.

Learning from other successful taprooms around India and regionally, the venue is going heavy on events: retro-themed Saturdays, women-focused midweek gatherings and startup-focused Sunday brunches to give a hat tip to Bangalore’s role as a technology hub.
