Singapore’s Brewerkz brewery excels at the Asia Beer Championship

The brewer wins the Country Champion Brewery, Singapore award for the third time, among other accolades

Brewerkz, Singapore’s longest-running craft brewery won numerous awards at the Asia Beer Championship 2024 held during the 10th Anniversary of Brew Asia 2024. The brewery won for its third consecutive year the accolade of ‘Country Champion Brewery, Singapore’, after also winning it at the Asia Beer Championship’s 2022 and 2023 events. Brewerkz was also voted the ‘Champion Mid-Sized Brewery of Asia’ in 2022 and 2023, making it the only brewery in Asia with this historic win record.

Organised by Asia Brewers Network, the Asia Beer Championship is renowned for its stringent evaluation, with expert professional brewers and Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) certified judges. This year’s competition witnessed a remarkable turnout, with over 800 beers registered, spanning 32 independent beer categories.

“Receiving the title of ‘Country Champion Brewery’ for the third time in a row is a huge achievement,” said Tan Wee Han, CEO of Brewerkz, “and is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our brewery team.”

Brewerkz’s individual brews also received recognition with seven individual beer medals and special mentions. Its stout, Deer Kick, earned a gold for ‘Champion Stout of Asia’, and its sour beer, Red Billion, also garnered a gold. Other brews receiving medals include its Still Mitch brew which received a bronze medal in No/Low-Alcohol category. Dream Blonde Ale, Circuit Breaker, Chain Reaction and Night Cap also received Chairman’s Selection recognition in the Golden Ale, NEIPA/Hazy, Session IPA and Milk Stout categories, respectively.
