Hong Kong based Lion Rock Brewery have launched their first affiliated taproom in the territory. The brewery have teamed up with a group of local entrepreneurs to bring their beers with a taste of Hong Kong to the heart of Soho.

LOL, a place for laughing out loud, has 12 taps serving a wide range of beers to cater to a variety of taste and mood. The beers all come from Lion Rock Brewery’s core range, seasonal, and one-offs as well as from Smash Beers, a sister brand to the brewery.

The Cantonese name for LOL is 釀酒獅 (Joeng Zao Si), which means Brew Master, but with a twist – a word play in Cantonese where the Master is in fact a Lion!

LOL also serves an exciting small bites menu inspired by Hong Kong’s legendary food scene.

“We are super excited to bring our wide range of beers and Hong Kong-inspired snacks to Soho. Please come in with your friends and family, and make LOL your second home!” said Managing Partner Terence Chan.

Lion Rock Brewery was founded in 2015 and was named as a tribute to Lion Rock, a rock outcrop that is an important symbol of the spirit of Hong Kong. The award-winning locally owned brewery is known for including local flavours in their beers such as Osmanthus, Lemongrass, Green Tea, Hazelnut and Chrysanthemum.

LOL is located at G/F, 25 Staunton street, Central Hong Kong, in the heart of the city’s buzzing Soho nightlife area.
