A new, highly-curated beer festival is set to take place in Tokyo on July 5th and 6th, 2025, offering the Japanese and wider Asian beer industry a direct look at some of the most sought-after breweries from the United States.

The event, titled Brujos+Friends Beer Festival, will be held at ADRIFT in the Shimokitazawa district.

A Brewery-Driven Festival

This Tokyo beer festival distinguishes itself with a unique “brewery-driven” model. Headlined by California’s influential Brujos Brewing, the event features five additional breweries personally invited by Brujos: Fidens Brewing, North Park Beer Co, Root+Branch Brewing, TEST Brewery, and Troon Brewing. These breweries are renowned in the US for their innovation and quality, particularly in popular styles like IPAs and barrel-aged stouts.

For industry professionals the Brujos + Friends festival is a rare chance to engage with breweries that seldom participate in festivals outside of the USA.

The format moves away from the typical large-scale festival, focusing instead on an intimate, pre-ticketed session model. This structure is designed to encourage direct engagement between attendees and the American brewers, who will be present to pour and discuss their products, offering valuable insights into current craft beer trends.

Exclusive Beers and Collaboration Brews

The beer list for the Brujos+Friends Beer Festival is expected to feature a significant number of exclusive and festival-only releases. A key highlight is the “Order of the Six,” a collaboration brew where each of the six participating breweries has produced their own version of a shared recipe.

A special 19-month barrel-aged stout, “Tokyo Under Our Spell,” has also been produced specially for the event. These brews will also be available in packaged format for unique takeaway presents.

“We are beyond stoked to come to Tokyo and we (Brujos and the participating breweries) promise
to bring pure fire to make this inaugural event a success! This is a once-in-a-lifetime-opportunity
and a festival like this has never been done anywhere, even in the US” said Sam Zermeno, Founder
and Brewer at Brujos Brewing. He went on to note “The beer geek community is a global one, and this festival will unite beer lovers everywhere under one roof.”

The event is already attracting international interest, with tickets almost sold out and attendees expected from across Asia and beyond.

This festival presents a unique opportunity for industry professionals and beer lovers in Asia to sample some unique brews and network around a dynamic segment of the American craft beer scene, making it a key beer industry event for 2025.
