In a move that strengthens Karnataka’s position as a manufacturing hub, Krones AG, a global leader in bottling and packaging equipment, will establish a state-of-the-art facility in the Vemagal Industrial Park Phase 2.

This investment underscores Karnataka’s increasing appeal for global businesses and its readiness to support large-scale industrial projects in India.

This follows a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the Karnataka government, finalized during a delegation visit to Krones’ headquarters in Germany. M B Patil, the Minister for Large and Medium Industries, led the delegation and secured the agreement, which includes the state government’s commitment to a smooth and efficient setup.

Invest Karnataka 2025

The partnership comes in advance of Invest Karnataka 2025, aimed at attracting global investment. Krones’ leadership showcased their advanced manufacturing processes and cutting-edge technology to the delegation, highlighting their commitment to quality and innovation.

Krones cited the strategic location of the Vemagal Industrial Park, Karnataka’s robust infrastructure, pro-business policies, and favorable investment climate as key factors in their decision. This makes the state an ideal location for expansion in India and beyond.

Boosting the Local Economy

The delegation also engaged with Krones’ suppliers, encouraging them to consider ancillary investments in Karnataka, further enhancing the state’s industrial ecosystem and creating more job opportunities. The new facility is expected to create hundreds of jobs and contribute significantly to the state’s economic growth.
