Gorilla Brewing Company, one of South Korea’s leading craft breweries, has launched their range of premium beers in Thailand through importer Beervana Thailand.

Beer enthusiasts in the kingdom will now be able to enjoy a wide range of Gorilla brews including their popular Busan Pale Ale, British Stout and Gorilla IPA.

“We are thrilled to bring our passion for crafting exceptional beers to the people of Thailand,” says Paul Edwards, CEO of Gorilla Brewing Company. “Our launch here marks an exciting chapter for our company, and we can’t wait for beer enthusiasts to try our diverse range of beers and taste the hard work and dedication we put into every brew.”

The launch marks a significant expansion for the Busan based brewery, bringing its award winning line-up of beers to a new market.

Gorilla’s first shipment to Thailand includes a variety of styles, including the highly sought-after Imperial Stout aged in bourbon whiskey barrels for 18 months and the HOP BOMB Double IPA #17, brewed in collaboration with the famous Gangnam craft beer outlet Beerroom.

“The diverse range of beers in this first shipment will offer something for every palate” Edwards explains, “We’ve also included our Popsicle IPA (a milkshake IPA brewed with lactose, vanilla, and tangerine) and our Imperial Gose Tomato (an imperial gose infused with Busan-grown tomatoes) so adventurous drinkers can find their favourite Gorilla style”.

The launch in Thailand is a testament to the company’s commitment to reaching out to a wider regional audience following it’s launch in Singapore a year ago.

In recent years South Korea has witnessed a rise in popularity of craft beer with the premium brews now widely available across the country. Interest overseas has also piqued with many breweries now looking to export markets to help them grow.

Brian Bartusch, co-founder of Beervana Thailand, explains why they decided to bring South Korean craft beers to the Southeast Asian Kingdom “There’s some exciting brewing going on in South Korea at the moment and we wanted to bring the best of it to Thailand for beer lovers here to enjoy”

The distribution company now offers beers from 4 leading South Korean breweries, including Gorilla.

The Gorilla launch kicks off this weekend with tap takeovers in popular craft beer outlets Underdog & Brewave and will be widely available across the Thai capital in the coming weeks.
