The New Delhi brewer launches two German style beers at its Free Flow Fest celebrations taking place this October

Bira 91, one of India’s most popular craft beer brands, brewed by B9 Beverages Pvt. Ltd, has introduced two new limited release brews at its Free Flow Fest event. The Free Flow Fest is a celebration of the festive spirit of Dussehra and Oktoberfest that takes place for a month commencing from 8 October. It is spread across five Indian cities including Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore, and takes place at about 250 bars and restaurants. It features music and entertainment from top Indian performers, beer tastings and other brewing-related events, and various special offers on beer.

The two limited editions launched at the event are a Märzen-style beer, F*** F*** Fest Lager, and a German-style wheat beer, the Hefeweizen.

F*** F*** Fest Lager is brewed in the traditional Oktoberfest beer style, using 100% Pilsner and Munich malts that impart a rich, amber hue. This Märzen-style lager has strong malt notes, balanced perfectly by refreshing pine aromas, and pleasant bitterness from German Noble hops. With an ABV of 4.5% and an IBU of 18, the brew offers a full-bodied flavour.

Bira 91’s Hefeweizen, is a classic German-style wheat beer, inspired by centuries-old Bavarian brewing traditions. Using the finest wheat malts and German hops from Bavaria, this unfiltered wheat beer is low in bitterness and has a velvety finish. The Hefeweizen offers aromas of banana, honey and clove, with a creamy foam that enhances the drinking experience. With an ABV of 4.7% and an IBU of 10, the brew is smooth, flavourful, and refreshingly light.

“We’re excited to kick-off the festive season in India with Free Flow Fest, Bira 91’s largest consumer activation to date,” said Ankur Jain, CEO of Bira 91. “With an exciting lineup of events across the country, Free Flow Fest will give consumers a chance to try our portfolio of flavourful beers surrounded by music and beer-led experiences. Our brewers have done a fantastic job in brewing two classic festive brews, which are now pouring across our taprooms in India.”
