Singapore’s Lion Brewery Co and Hong Kong’s Deadman Brewery to co-produce a unique pilsner.

Singapore’s Lion Brewery Co and Hong Kong’s Deadman Brewery have announced their latest collaboration to produce a refreshing and innovative pilsner, named ‘Superdelic Pils’, brewed at Lion Brewery’s Brewlab facility in the heart of Singapore.

According to the breweries the beer is designed to capture the essence of endless summers, with a light and hop-bright pils boasting notes of red fruits that linger above a smooth pilsner malt base. The Superdelic hops from New Zealand used for this brew were sponsored by global hop supplier Yakima Chief Hops.

Superdelic Pils is now available exclusively at Lion Brewery in Singapore, but will enjoy a limited release at selected bars around the island in the near future. The collaboration between the two brewers highlights the international spirit of community within the craft beer industry; and plans are already afoot to do a ‘return leg’ of the same brew using Deadman’s facility in Hong Kong, so the beer will be available to consumers there as well.

“When the Deadman guys reached out, it was an immediate yes from us,”says Will Julius, co-Founder of Lion Brewery Co. “We think these sorts of partnerships are key to growing the craft beer category in the region, and we are always looking to do fun and innovating activations with like-minded brands and breweries.”
