Third and final ale from The Phnom Penh IPA Project will be released on 5 April
Cambodia’s Phnom Penh IPA Project will be releasing its final IPA of the series at Botanico, Cerevisia Craft Brewery’s brew house in Phnom Penh, on 5 April.
This will be the third and final event in the collaboration between three Phnom Penh craft brewers, Sak Pub, AeroCoffeeBar and Cerevisia Craft Brewery, that set up the Project as a means to promote and increase awareness about craft beer in Cambodia, especially among younger Cambodians. The concept is to create three different styles of IPA, each with at least one locally grown ingredient, which would then be released with each beer getting its own dedicated launch party, with the three events scheduled one month apart at each participant’s venue.
The April 5 event will see the launch of a unique Red Cold IPA with Cambodian red rice being the unique local ingredient. The first beer created by the Project was a Session IPA, fermented with local palm sugar, and released at Sak Pub on 2 February this year. After that came a Mango Passion New England IPA with mangos and passion fruit, released at AeroCoffeeBar on 8 March.
