This October Brew Asia will be celebrating a decade of connecting the region’s brewing industry at it’s 10th Anniversary show in Singapore.
With the theme of “Shaping A Stronger Brewing Industry” the conference & trade fair will be an unmissable gathering of brewers, brewery owners, beer importers and distributors from across Asia.
Due to be held on 3rd and 4th October at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre in the heart of downtown Singapore this year marks the show’s move to exhibition space.
“We’re delighted to see how the show has grown, mirroring the development of the region’s brewing industry over the past decade.” Said founder Charles Guerrier “We’re very excited about the move into exhibition space which marks a real development in the scale of the show. More room means more space for industry exhibitors and ultimately more choice of suppliers for the brewers and distributors of the region.”
Brew Asia began its life as SEA Brew (the Southeast Asia Brewers Conference) back in 2015 with a small gathering of 75 of Singapore’s brewers and beer importers in the function room of Brewerkz, Singapore’s first ever brewpub. After 2 years in Singapore the show then started touring the region visiting a different brewing hot-spot city each year. Shows have been held in Manila, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok and even online during the pandemic.
Attendance grew at each edition drawing not only from Southeast Asian but from the greater Asian markets such as South Korea, Japan, China and Taiwan, keeping true to the show’s mantra “Where the region’s brewing industry meets”. Increasingly now the show is seeing visitors travelling up from Australia and New Zealand to attend.
“Our 10th Anniversary seemed like a good time to bring the show home for a visit!” remarks Mr Guerrier, himself a resident of Singapore for over 25 years.
Alongside the traditional ingredients and brewery operations workshops this year’s show will see a strong focus in the business of beer.
Dedicated to the commercial aspects of the brewing industry this track will cover crucial topics for business survival such as productivity, business financing, brand building and distribution. The Business of Beer track will be particularly valuable for those looking to expand their market presence and optimize their business operations.
Across the 2 day conference industry experts will lead sessions sharing their expertise and offering practical tips to enhance operational excellence.
The move into an exhibition hall offers the Brew Asia Trade Fair a significant increase in floorspace which has duly been filled with a growing number of global suppliers. Over 80 leading companies will be exhibiting this year showcasing the latest developments in raw materials, brewing and dispensing equipment. This offers attendees an exceptional opportunity to meet global suppliers and delve into the latest global trends and cutting-edge innovations.
In addition to the educational conference and trade fair, Brew Asia always boasts a vibrant evening social calendar designed to facilitate networking and collaboration and this year is no exception. Events being hosted across the downtown taprooms and restaurants of the city state will provide a relaxed setting for attendees and exhibitors to connect, share ideas, and forge new partnerships. The social calendar is a testament to the camaraderie and passion that drive the brewing community.
Brew Asia aspires to be a forum to help shape the future of the brewing industry. “We view visiting Brew Asia as an investment in the future” ends Mr Guerrier “Asia has a long way to go in the development of our premium beer segment and our team and partners hope the show we put together will help to inspire and empower the region’s brewing industry to grow with confidence”
