In a statement released on Friday 16th October NürnbergMesse, the organizers of the annual BrauBeviale trade fair for the beverage industry, announced they would cancel their in-person event in favour of a digital offering.
The 2020 edition of the show was due to be held on 10th-12th November.
Citing the current global developments of the corona pandemic, the rapidly increasing number of local infections in Germany, and the associated massive restrictions on business travel in companies the Nuremberg based show have opted for a fully digital experience for 2020.
Executive Director BrauBeviale at NürnbergMesse Andrea Kalrait noted that despite the organizer’s commitment to health and safety of visitors and exhibitors “We obviously cannot close our eyes to the latest developments. We owe this to our customers and partners. We were well prepared, but must be realistic about the current situation. In this respect, we are now continuing to work at full speed on our online offering and are delighted to unite the beverage industry virtually on our digital dialog platform myBeviale.com starting in November.”
In place of the in-person show NürnbergMesse have launched a virtual platform that will be available all year round to connect exhibitors with would-be visitors. The platform, myBeviale.com, will also offer an extensive supporting program BrauBeviale@stage online from 10 – 12 November 2020.
BreaBeviale will take it’s regular 4 yearly break next year with the next show scheduled for November 2022 at the Messe Nuremberg showgrounds.
