Windmills Craftworks, a Bengaluru craft brewer, has won the Best Beer Brewery category at the NDTV Food Awards 2024, held on 9 March 2024. Windmills, owned by Total Environment Hospitality, has a large outlet located just outside the Bengaluru International Airport terminal that serves food, cocktails and the brewery’s selection of craft beers, brewed at its nearby Whitefield microbrewery. Among the beers on offer are Hefeweizen, Windmills’ interpretation of the South German classic wheat beer, brewed using malts imported from Germany and fermented with traditional yeast; its Golden Ale, an American brewpub-style ale made exclusively with traditional Czech pilsner malt and Saaz hops; and various seasonal beers.
