India’s Red Rhino and US craft brewer Samsaric Brewing launch their collaborative brew Kamasutra Passionfruit WitBier in their respective markets at the same time

India’s Red Rhino Craft Brewery and Samsaric Brewing of the USA have announced a simultaneous global release of their collaborative brew, Kamasutra Passionfruit WitBier. The beer was launched on tap in both countries on 8 June 2025 at the same time, with video of the launch events streamed live between locations.

The historic cross-border brew is a Belgian-style Witbier with a 4.95% ABV that balances classic Belgian wheat beer elements such as aromatic spices and European hops, with a refreshing burst of tropical passionfruit, inspired by Indian taste profiles.

“We’ve created something that truly represents the best of both our worlds,” said Nikhil Chavan, Head of Brewing Operations at Red Rhino. “European brewing traditions meet Indian flavour inspiration and sustainable American practices.”

The beer is brewed in tandem at Red Rhino’s Bangalore and Hyderabad breweries and Samsaric’s facilities in Bensalem, Pennsylvania and Itasca, Illinois, in a manner to maintain identical quality and character on both sides of the globe.

Kamasutra WitBier uses Canadian malts, European hops, and locally supplied passionfruit. The brew is also brewed sustainably and to generate minimum waste, reduce cold-chain dependency, and avoid the use of artificial preservatives.

The beer is now available on tap at Red Rhino Bangalore & Hyderabad outlets, and through Samsaric’s distribution in Pennsylvania and Illinois.
