Petainer becomes the first PET keg manufacturer in Southeast Asia and introduces a new addition to its product portfolio.
Less than two years after the opening of its Asia Head Office in October 2018, and one year after the inauguration of a warehouse in Bangkok, Petainer announces the opening of its facility in Bangkok, Thailand in January 2021 making the Petainer Keg the first one-way keg manufactured in Southeast Asia.
Petainer 20L & 30L Hybrid Kegs will be the first PET kegs produced in Southeast Asia
It will be a 100% Petainer owned plant ensuring high-quality manufacturing and quality checks while using components and raw materials from Europe.
The initial range of products made in Thailand would be the 20L and 30L Hybrid in A, S, D and G fitting types, available by palettes, 20 and 40ft containers.
The Petainer business model is centred around a localized strategy with core components made in its original plant in the Czech Republic and blowing and assembly implemented closer to each market. Thanks to the free trade agreements SEAP has with Japan, Korea, Australia and New Zealand, as well as the ASEAN community, supplying kegs from Thailand comes as an obvious choice. It will bring the Petainer Keg closer to a growing beverage industry in South East Asia and Pacific areas.
In July this year, the company launched a new product, the 10L Mini Keg, ideal for premium or limited-edition beverages with low rotation, as well as home dispense.
The new 10L keg is an excellent opportunity for brewers, winemakers and beverage producers to create additional revenue streams and increase the volume of products sold directly to the consumer (via online, takeaway, and curbside pickup sales) while reducing packaging and labour costs.
