Vietnamese developer Sun Group opens a 2,000 sqm craft brewing complex in tourist centre Sunset Town

Sun Group, one of Vietnam’s largest property developers, has officially opened the Phu Quoc Brew House in Sunset Town, Phu Quoc, providing a new addition to the island’s growing list of cultural and artistic attractions. The brewhouse is part of Sun Group’s Sun Paradise Land, a luxury entertainment and leisure ecosystem in Phu Quoc.

The brewery combines Bavarian brewing traditions with modern design and is expected to become a significant landmark in the area. Located in the heart of Sunset Town, the facility is part of a larger complex that includes restaurants and a craft brewery.

The brewery has an annual production capacity of 2.7 million litres, and will supply craft beer to the Sun Bavaria GastroPub, various Sun World attractions, and the Sun Group’s hotel network on the island. The Sun Bavaria GastroPub is Vietnam’s first seaside craft beer restaurant.

The Phu Quoc Brew House blends European architectural influences with local culture. Its Italian-inspired design features a radiant pink exterior that changes hues throughout the day, shifting from bright pink under the sun to soft purple at sunset and shimmering under the town’s lights at night. A transparent glass façade offers visitors a view of the brewing tanks.

The brewery spans three floors and covers an area of 2,193 square metres. It incorporates state-of-the-art facilities for beer production and canning, as well as spaces designed to enhance the visitor experience.

The brewery has partnered with German brewing company Braukon, known for its expertise in traditional brewing methods, and is led by master brewer Oliver Wesseloh, a world champion brewer.

The Phu Quoc Brew House will offer six craft beers under the Sun KraftBeer collection, with each beer inspired by local landmarks and culture. Highlights include the Kiss Bridge Helles Lager, Sunset Town Dry Hop Pale Ale, and Hon Thom Paradise Wheat Beer. Beers are crafted using premium ingredients sourced from Germany and the United States.
