Vietnam’s Steersman Brewery have opened their flagship taproom in the bustling heart of Ho Chi Minh City.
Located on Phan Ke Binh street in District 1 the doors officially opened to the public on 30th March.
The kinder-garden turned beer-garden (the building it is housed in used to be an international pre-school) boasts 3-stories, offers a full food menu with Vietnamese fusion dishes and rotating draft pours from Steersman and also other local craft breweries.
The original brewing company was set up in 2019 by co-founders and best friends Wayne Su and Ben Minh Nguyen as a distribution brewery, however their own taproom and restaurant was always on the cards. Wayne explains that true to their belief that “great beer lies not only in the taste and the originality, but also the company that it is shared with,” the friends have created a warm and inviting environment for people to hang out and share a unique craft beer experience.
The newly renovated taproom features a spacious ground floor with retractable roof, a billiards table, private air-conditioned rooms, and a rooftop deck space. A naval and wood theme also runs through the venue reflecting the company’s nautical mascot.
As part of the grand opening celebration, Steersman Brewery launched two new, limited-edition drinks: Single Galaxy Hops Lager and Pomegranate Wit. Available only while kegs last, the new beers are the perfect complement to the brewery’s existing lineup of craft beers and hard sodas.
