China’s 2025 Shanghai Bay Jinshan City Beach Music & Beer Festival winds up this year after providing more than six days of craft beer, live performances, and family-friendly events in a scenic coastal setting
The 2025 Shanghai Bay Jinshan City Beach Music & Beer Festival returned in full swing in July, transforming the coastal stretch of Jinshan District into a vibrant hub of summer festivities. Spanning more than six days and covering more than 10,000 square metres, this year’s festival blended seaside leisure with a dynamic mix of craft beer, live music, gourmet cuisine, and family-friendly attractions.
Held along the scenic shoreline of Jinshan City Beach, the festival was divided into five themed zones, including a stage for live performances, a beer exhibition space, a market zone, an amusement park, and a spacious seating area. The 100-square-metre beer exhibition zone featured an array of craft beers and low-alcohol cocktail blends, catering to both connoisseurs and casual drinkers.
This year’s edition saw expanded corporate involvement, with household brands such as Oishi, Jiaduobao, and electric vehicle maker NIO participating. Organisers also added 15 new food stalls to complement the regular culinary offerings, elevating the festival’s gastronomic appeal.
A standout feature this year was the collaboration with Legoland Shanghai Resort, which introduced a special three-day parent-child holiday package. According to Cai Yijun, secretary-general of the Jinshan District Tourism Association, the initiative aimed to attract more families and broaden the festival’s demographic reach.
edDuring the event, the beach area opened from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., while the beer festival zone welcomed visitors in the evening from 5:30 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. This schedule allowed for a seamless transition from sunny beach outings to lively evening entertainment.
More than just a celebration of beer, the festival promotes Jinshan and its beach as a tourism destination, showcasing its cultural performances, branded exhibits, and leisure activities that cater to all ages.
