India’s Mount Everest Breweries Appoints Vinod Babu G as CEO

The Madhya Pradesh-headquartered brewer takes on on big- hitter Vinod Babu G with his extensive experience in senior posts at Anheuser-Busch InBev and SABMiller, to lead the business to greater heights

Mount Everest Breweries Ltd. (MEBL), one of India’s fastest-growing breweries, has named Vinod Babu G as its new Chief Executive Officer. This appointment marks a strategic move in MEBL’s ambition to scale up its premium offerings, enter new markets, and position itself as a leading player in India’s dynamic beer landscape.

Vinod brings nearly two decades of experience in the FMCG and alcoholic beverages sectors, having held senior leadership roles at global giants Anheuser-Busch InBev India and SABMiller India. Known for his strong commercial acumen and deep understanding of premium consumer segments, Vinod has overseen the successful launch of major beer brands, regional expansions, and the development of high-performing commercial teams. His leadership has also been recognised with two BUP Fanatic Awards for excellence in performance and strategic impact.

Under his stewardship, AB InBev saw growth across South India, Goa, and even extended its footprint into Nepal. Vinod is also credited with shaping AB InBev India’s trade marketing strategy, a key factor in its regional success.

Announcing the appointment, Vedant Kedia, Wholetime Director at MEBL, said, “We are thrilled to welcome Vinod into the MEBL family.
