The Bengaluru brewer opens a two-acre facility offering craft beers and fine dining in a cultural setting
ICB Indian Craft Brewery (ICB), one of Bengaluru’s leading craft brewers, has opened a sprawling 1,500-seat microbrewery in Manyata Tech Park, Nagavara, in the outskirts of Bengalaru.
The facility is spread across two acres, and merges India’s ancient brewing traditions with modern craft beer innovation. Designed to be more than just a brewery, ICB introduces the COAST experiential concept – Culture, Opinion, Art, Sustainability, and Taste – taking its patrons on an immersive journey celebrating India’s heritage.
High-arched interiors and replicas of historical artifacts, including the Dancing Girl sculpture from the Indus Valley Civilisation, help create a unique cultural ambiance. The brewery also plans to host pop-up events showcasing heirloom recipes from former Indian royal families, adding to its distinctiveness.
At the location, ICB incorporates elements of India’s rich cultural and culinary heritage, with beers crafted at its research and development centre in Belgium. The brewery offers nine varieties on tap, including Nandi Nectar, made with sustainably sourced wild honey from Chennai’s forests. Another brew on offer is Ramanujan, a premium non-alcoholic beer honouring India’s mathematical icon, which reflects the brewery’s commitment to inclusivity in the beer-drinking experience.
Sustainability is also a central theme to ICB’s operations. Through a partnership with the Saving Grains charity, the brewer’s spent grains from the brewing process are repurposed into snacks such as granola and crackers, reinforcing the brewery’s eco-conscious ethos.
