The two brewers collaborate on a new beer using ingredients drawn from classic Vietnamese cuisine
Yardley Brothers Craft Brewery, a Hong Kong-based craft beer company, has announced its partnership with Vietnam’s 7 Bridges Brewing Co to produce an innovative sour beer.
The partnership will produce Good Morning Vietnam, which will bring together fresh Vietnamese coriander and cucumber, alongside a lime hit and a hint of ginger, in a hopless, gruit-style beer brewed with malted barley, filtered water and yeast.
The beer will launch exclusively at 7 Bridges’ four taprooms in Vietnam. Yardley Brothers plans to build on this collaboration with a new version brewed for the Hong Kong market later in the summer.
“I’ve been thinking about making a beer inspired by the freshness and distinctive flavours of Vietnamese cuisine (alongside our award-winning Thai Chilli Getaway) for a while, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity,” said Yardley Brothers founder Luke Yardley.
Duane Morton from the 7 Bridges brewing team said that Good Morning Vietnam showcases the vibrant and fresh tastes of Vietnam in a new and exciting way. “Collaborations like these are where the magic happens, blending science, experience, and a bit of daring to craft something extraordinary,” said Morton.
