Shortly after their announcement of a launch into Thailand, South Korea’s Gorilla Brewing Company are at it again – this time in the Pearl of the Orient, Hong Kong.
This will be the fifth overseas market that the Busan based brewery, known for its commitment to creativity and quality, has ventured into following launches in Singapore, Taiwan, the USA and the Southeast Asia kingdom.
With the help of Korean-based liquor exporter More than Craft and Hong Kong importer The Answer Beverage Co, Gorilla Brewing is set to launch its award-winning range of beers in Hong Kong this weekend.
Paul Edwards, CEO and head brewer of Gorilla Brewing will be travelling to the Chinese city to celebrate the launch and will be hosting ‘meet-the-brewer’ parties in popular drinking holes Hops, Out of the Brew and Enso.
“We’re dedicated to producing inspirational and high-quality beer that represents the creativity and innovation of Korean brewing,” said Paul Edwards, Head Brewer and CEO of Gorilla Brewing Company.
“Our expansion outside of South Korea is a testament to the hard work and passion of our team, and we’re excited to share our unique flavors with craft beer enthusiasts around the world.”
Paul will also be taking with him some cases of Gorilla’s very latest release – “Gorilla Dive”. Designed by ‘friends of the brewery’ this new seasonal release reflects the creativity of the Gorilla community, with each new brew uniquely crafted. This first brew is a New England IPA designed by their brewer Youngjae Jo.
The first batch of beers exported to Hong Kong will include Gorilla IPA, Gorilla Newing (a New England Style IPA) and Gorilla Imperial Gose, all of which have received recognition in the Asia Beer Championship.
