The acquisition is intended to accelerate ReTo’s recent move into China’s craft beer equipment market

ReTo Eco-Solutions, a China-based manufacturer of environmental protection and intelligent equipment, has completed the acquisition of a 51% equity interest in Hong Kong-registered MeinMalzeBier Holdings Limited, marking its entry into the craft beer market.

The deal closed on April 25, 2025, as the company looks to diversify its business portfolio and enhance its position in the intelligent equipment sector. MeinMalzeBier operates in China through its subsidiaries which are largely focused on the sales of craft beer and smart beer machines.

The acquisition is seen as a strategic move following ReTo’s recent launch of its own proprietary smart craft beer machines, signaling the company’s strategic expansion into the space. The transaction is consequently expected to generate significant synergies by combining ReTo’s expertise in intelligent equipment manufacturing with MeinMalzeBier’s established sales channels and market experience.

According to ReTo’s press release on the matter, the integration of MeinMalzeBier into its operation will support faster product adoption and broader market penetration, with the potential to improve cash flow and strengthen financial performance.

Markets generally welcomed the move, with ReTo shares trading higher following the announcement, up nearly 25% at US$4.86 on the Nasdaq Capital Market. The positive market reaction reflects investor optimism over the company’s diversification strategy and the expected revenue boost from its move into the high-growth craft beer segment.

Founded in 1999, ReTo traditionally specialises in the production of ecological environment protection equipment and intelligent machinery in China. Despite this focus, the company expects its new business line to complement its existing operations and reinforce its competitive positioning amid an evolving market landscape.
