Optimizing Your Brewery (SEA Brew ’21)


A well optimized brewhouse is a key step to overall brewing efficiency.

In this presentation, recorded during SEA Brew 2021, Rod White of the International Centre for Brewing Science (ICBS) take a hi paced walk through the world of brewery process optimisation.

Tapping into a bank of experience handed down over generations from brew master to brew master he explores subjects like how to optimise the brewhouse for extract, the best way to manage VDK/ Diacetyl, how to produce highly filterable beers and avoidance of the most common beer flavour faults.

This session is especially valuable to brewers at the start of there technical journey but also useful for the experienced ones who want updated knowledge on the latest research in this area. Data from recent trials on some of the world largest brew streams are presented along-side classic technical tips and tricks.
